Blackpool has been a favourite with families for decades.
There is sensational wildlife to see at the Blackpool Zoo, a whole underwater world to explore at Sea Life Blackpool, as well as the most astonishing views available from the Tower Eye in The Blackpool Tower. If you are a thrill-seeker, you can give your inner daredevil a treat with a ride on the selection of roller-coasters available at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
This is an absolute must for any fans of high-speed electrifying action. If you are in the mood for something a little more laid back, the greenery at Stanley Park is sure to make you feel tranquil and calm.
Blackpool Beach
Undoubtedly the biggest draw to Blackpool is the incredible seaside. Home to miles and miles of gorgeous sandy beaches stretch across the Fylde Coast.
Starting from Lytham and winding all the way down to Fleetwood. The beach has fantastic access to shops, toilets, and other amenities around Central Blackpool.
Keep in mind, that the beach is also the area where the majority of Blackpool's visitors want to stay. This means that you might have to put in a little bit of preparation to ensure your Blackpool Beach experience is as great as possible.
Get yourself a picnic, and settle yourself down on the North end of the beach or around the Starr Gate area. This will give you and your group plenty of space, as well as peace and tranquillity that can be difficult to find on the Beach's busier days.

Blackpool Attractions
With everything from white knuckle rollercoasters to discovering the frightening history of Lancashire in The Blackpool Tower Dungeon, there is something to suit everyone's tastes.
You can learn about all the different species found in our oceans at Sea Life Blackpool or have pictures taken with some of the world's most famous celebrities at Madame Tussauds Blackpool. No matter what you are in Blackpool for, there is certainly going to be something for you to enjoy.
Blackpool Piers
When people are asked about their favourite aspect of Blackpool, the most common answer given is Blackpool's Piers.
Blackpool is home to three different piers, each offering something completely different to the visitor. The North Pier is the perfect place to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of the seaside resort.
Staying true to the origins of the location, the pier is not quite as busy as the others, and it is the ideal location for sitting and watching the world go by, with plenty of seating options available away from all of Blackpool's many attractions.
Central Pier has a slightly different vibe to the North Pier, and it is only a short ten-minute walk away. Here you can find Blackpool's iconic big wheel, which is an absolute must to get wonderful views of the surrounding area.
The pier is a host to several other attractions, too, such as arcades and the Kings and Queens show. South Pier is similar to Central Pier, but with the addition of a number of rides for the kids to enjoy.
The Pier's bumper cars have proven to be a favourite for all the family, as well as a selection of 'Adrenaline Zone' rides for those who are after an extra level of scare.

Blackpool Illuminations
They don't call The Illuminations the greatest light show on Earth for nothing! The incredible light show stretches for miles and miles along the Blackpool promenade.
Starting at Starr Gate and dazzling onlookers all the way down to Blackpool Tower and onto Bispham. The lights are extraordinarily popular and year upon year draw in visitors from all over the country and the globe. For many people that have visited The Illuminations many times, the highlight is consistently the Tableaux at the Bispham end of the promenade.
These are large light displays that are intended to be walked through, so you can really immerse yourself in the light art. Lightpool displays on the side of the tower are another highlight. Displays are projected onto the side of the tower, and you can stand and watch to achieve the full effect.
The Blackpool Tower
Blackpool Tower is recognisable all around the globe and is truly the landmark that sets apart Blackpool from all the other seaside towns.
Of course, Blackpool Tower is more than just a landmark. The tower itself is a venue home to the world-famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom, as well as the creepy Tower Dungeons, the Tower Eye, and you cannot forget the spectacular Tower Circus.
As you can surely imagine, the views from the Tower's top are magnificent.
Within the Tower, there are several bars and restaurants selling refreshments for you to enjoy while you explore the famous landmark. Entry to the Tower is completely free, so this is an absolute must-do on any visit to Blackpool.

Stanley Park
The locals of Blackpool are beyond proud of their glorious Stanley Park, as they should be! The park has won numerous awards over the years and is generally just a fantastic place to visit.
Located outside the centre of Blackpool, around a half an hour's walk, and is very close to Blackpool's Zoo and Model Village. Within the park, you will find a sparkling lake to wander around, lush gardens, a delightful art deco cafe, bike tracks, a running track, skate ramps, and a miniature golf course.
The Winter Gardens
Winter Gardens is another one of Blackpool's iconic landmarks. The venue has hosted countless concerts, shows, plays, and events throughout the years.
The Winter Gardens is the reason why many people visit Blackpool in the first place.
The Gardens play host every year to the World Matchplay Darts, different dance festivals, the Rebellion Rock Festival, and more.
When there are no major events taking place in the venue, we would recommend just taking a relaxing stroll through the building. Stop and have a coffee, or even have a delicious meal in the restaurant.
