Explore top attractions along Blackpool seafront, from the famous Pleasure Beach to historic piers. Enjoy unforgettable seaside experiences in the UK’s favourite resort.

Blackpool’s seafront is full of fun things to do. From rides and water slides to famous landmarks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the best attractions to visit on your next trip.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

One of the UK’s most famous amusement parks, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is packed with thrill rides and family fun. It has over 30 rides, including the Big One, which climbs over 200 ft and reaches speeds of more than 70 mph.

There’s also a brand-new ride in 2025 called Launch Pad, which shoots riders into the air with incredible force before dropping them straight down. For younger children, Nickelodeon Land is full of gentle rides and colourful characters.

The park also has mini-golf, food stands, and arcade games. You can spend the whole day here and still not fit everything in. It’s a must-visit if you like fun and excitement.

Blackpool Tower

This iconic structure opened in 1894 and stands 518 ft (158 m) tall. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, it became one of the tallest buildings in the UK at the time.

At the top, the Tower Eye offers amazing views over Blackpool, the sea, and even as far as the Lake District on clear days. There’s a glass floor to stand on if you’re feeling brave.

Inside, you can visit the Tower Circus, which runs fun shows with clowns, acrobats, and water tricks. The Tower Ballroom is a lovely place to see dancing and even try it yourself. There’s also a 4D cinema and a soft play area for younger children, making it a great choice for families.

Sandcastle Waterpark

Just across the road from Pleasure Beach is Sandcastle Waterpark — the biggest indoor waterpark in the UK. There are 18 slides, including the famous Master Blaster, which is like a water rollercoaster.

You can also float down a lazy river, play in the wave pool, or get soaked by the tipping coconut in the kids’ splash zone. The whole place stays at a warm 28°C, so you can enjoy the water even when it’s cold outside.

There’s a spa area for adults and a café inside, so you can relax while the kids enjoy the rides.

Blackpool Pier - Attractions Along Blackpool Seafront

North, Central and South Piers

Blackpool has three old seaside piers, and each one has something different to see and do. North Pier is quiet and peaceful. It has a theatre and is a nice place to take a walk and enjoy the sea views. Sometimes you can see live music and shows there too.

Central Pier is lively and full of things to do. There’s a big wheel, rides, arcades, and food stalls. South Pier has more fast rides and fairground games — great for older kids and teens.

You can walk between the piers or catch the tram to save time.

Tram Rides Along the Seafront

Blackpool’s famous trams have been running since 1885. Today, they travel up and down the coast, making it easy to get from one attraction to another. The trams are clean, quick, and give you great views of the sea as you ride.

During the Blackpool Illuminations, you can also hop on a heritage tram — some of them are open-top or decorated with bright lights. These trams are a fun way to enjoy the lights and feel part of the town’s history.
